Supported Languages and Voice Variants

The AI Agent Dev Platform supports a fixed set of languages and voice variants for speech input and output. This page lists which languages and how many voice variants are available per region, so you can choose a combination that works end to end.

ASR and TTS​

AI chat relies on two core technologies: automatic speech recognition (ASR) and text-to-speech (TTS). ASR converts user speech into text, and TTS turns the agent's reply into audible speech. The agent supports full voice interaction — hearing and speaking — only when both technologies cover the target language.

The platform supports ASR and TTS for many languages across countries and regions, so users can talk to an agent in their native language. In China, it supports Mandarin, English, Cantonese, and some regional dialects (such as Sichuanese and Henanese). For the global market, it supports major languages including English, Spanish, Japanese, and French.
